2016 Medical Outreach Team

April 8 – 24, 2016

We are excited that you are considering joining us on our thirteenth Medical Outreach Team short-term mission trip to eSikhawini, South Africa. This trip is designed to allow us to use our medical skills and resources to serve our South African brothers and sisters and to communicate the love of Jesus to those who do not know Him. You do not need to be a medical professional to be a part of this team. We prefer that the team be made up of both medical and non-medical individuals.

Purpose of the Mission Trip
Mission trips often attract people who loved to make things happen and get things done. This trip is not about medicine or what we can do, it is about people and allowing God to use us to accomplish His purpose. We need to have a servant’s attitude and to always be flexible and open to God’s leading.

Jesus’ last words before He went to heaven, as recorded in Matthew, were, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” In Acts 1, Jesus said, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Isaiah’s passing.

Dear Friends,
We have some very sad news to report.

We received word late Wednesday evening (7/19/17) that our dear friend Isaiah passed away suddenly. Apparently, he collapsed after dinner and they rushed him to the clinic, but he did not regain consciousness. We are keeping in constant contact with Mercy. The best thing we can do right now is to pray for Mercy, the kids, each other and the wide net of friends that Isaiah touched throughout a life well-lived.

We can also praise our amazing God, who can take a young, willing, one-eyed shepherd from Ingwavuma and create a wonderful life of impact and joy that spans continents and forever changes thousands of lives for the better.

In Him,
Bill Hazelton
